Description:
Tenders are invited for Development of a Guide to Good Practices for the Conservation of Biodiversity in the Northern Congo Landscape. For nearly 30 years, the Wildlife Conservation Society's (WCS) largest national program in the Republic of Congo has been protecting wild spaces that sustain local people, protect natural resources and mitigate global climate change. WCS Congo is the government's main partner in conservation, helping the Ministry of Forest Economy (MEF) manage wildlife and their habitat in several national parks, reserves and buffer zones of protected areas in the country. The Northern Congo Forest Landscape (PPFNC) project aims to ensure the maintenance of ecological continuums and the preservation of biological diversity in the territories of Northern Congo (departments of Likouala, Sangha and the northern part of the West basin, i.e. an overall area of intervention of approximately 8.5 million ha), while supporting socio-economic development and rational land use planning.
